Buying shoes online for a growing child is easier when you know three numbers: your child's foot length in centimetres, the UK size and the EU size. The chart below is the one G&D uses for every pair of kids' sneakers, sports shoes and sandals we make.

Age is only a guide. Always go by the foot-length measurement in cm.
How to read the chart
- Start with foot length. Measure your child's foot in cm (see how to measure a child's foot at home) and find the nearest match in the last column.
- Read across to UK and EU. Every G&D product lists all three, for example “Age 5–6 Years | UK-11C | EU-29 | 19.5 cm”, so you can order with whichever number you know.
- Between two sizes? Go up. Children's feet grow quickly, and a little room at the toe is better than a tight fit.
What does “C” mean in UK 11C?
The “C” stands for child. UK children's sizes run from 7C to 13C. After 13C, the scale starts again at UK 1, 2, 3 and upwards for older children. So UK 13C is followed by UK 1, not UK 14.
Common sizing questions
Are kids' shoe sizes the same for boys and girls?
Yes. All G&D shoes are unisex and use one size chart for boys and girls.
How often should I check my child's shoe size?
Re-measure every 2–3 months. Young children can move up a size several times a year, so don't rely on the size of their last pair.
Is Indian kids' sizing different from UK sizing?
Most Indian kids' footwear brands, including G&D, label shoes in UK sizes. That's why matching foot length in cm is the safest way to compare across brands.
